Grant Wolf Memorial WebSite |
Tiffany and Heather Wolf have placed a Memorial Bench in their father's memory up in the Oak Creek area, near one of Grant's favorite places. The inscription on the bench is lovely and meaningful. Grant's ashes were scattered nearby in the Oak Creek area. This meadow area is calm and peaceful, and is a nice place for reflection.
Here is a photo of the bench. Keep reading below for directions on how to locate the bench.

DIRECTIONS: From the town of Sedona, drive north on Highway 89A. Go about 7 to 9 miles. You will pass the Slide Rock park area. Look for the Junipine Resort on your left. Pass the Junipine Resort and look for a small road on your left with this sign for the "Forest Houses". Turn into this road. If you get to the Don Hoel Resort, you've gone too far.

Take the dirt road down the hill, and drive across the little bridge that crosses the creek. Ordinarily only a little bit of water flows across the top of the bridge, but the bridge is solid concrete and is completely drivable as long as the creek is not flooding.
Upon crossing the bridge, follow the road to the left and go up the hill. You will pass a cottage or two or three. Be looking on your right and you will see the entrance to a meadow/lawn area. Grant's bench is on the far side of this meadow near a big tree. The entrance to the meadow looks like this:

The bench is at the far end of the meadow, on the Left.
